Didn't find this in the archives. Early in May Ipswitch sent us an email
announcing version 7.1 (we're on 7.07). Their language was "download your
free upgrade at the link below", and the link went to the installer
executable. We'd like to upgrade but I noticed at the Ipswitch site and in
this list that only customers with a service agreement or antivirus product
can get 7.1 without paying extra. We don't have either, so I was confused as
to why they were offering us a "free" upgrade. I emailed them a question as
to our status. Their response did not answer the question but did include a
special username and password to be used to download 7.1 at one of their Web
pages (different link than before). I downloaded the installer but haven't
run it yet, because of the concern that it will ask for a new serial number
we don't have. Or, we'll find out it's just a 30-day trial version.
