Ummmm, yes... ver 7.07 - no support options as I can get better results here
on-list, sorry IP switch.

I am using a rules.ima that is a conglomeration of those collected recently
off this list. I have a user (read as boss) who's legitimate mail is getting
trapped. I would like to find which rule in the file (there are around 750)
is triggering the trip to the spambox. Chris seems to have the best advise
so far:
*snip*
start by sending the "caught" email to myself. If it gets caught then it is
something in the body, else it is
a Subject, To, From or Header line.
I then cut the caught email in half and resend to myself. Just keep
narrowing it down.

Thanks for the input though, I'll keep y'all posted

Beats me.. I'm under the impression that he is looking for a way to find the
'rule filter' within the rule that caused the mail to be filtered by the
rule in the first place. hmm.. is that right?

What version? v7.1 puts an X-IMail-Rule header in the message.

All rules.ima filters with the :SPAM extension at the end of the filter will
be sent to the SPAM box.

through the text in the files for matches?

No & Probably.
