At the 'other pc' you'll need to supply the email servers ip address instead of the 127.0.0.1 'local host'. After connect enter something like EHLO or QUIT just something to verify you have entry into the email server. Could be that you can't access it because it's behind a firewall/proxy/router.. etc.. ~Rick -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Rich Lincoln Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 7:39 AM - MGMT.TV To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] IMail stopped answering tried it on the IMail server and got right in. If I try it from any other PC I get a "connection failed" message....... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Rick Leske Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 8:26 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] IMail stopped answering Try this at a command prompt Telnet 127.0.0.1 25 'without the semi colon' ~Rick Rich Lincoln wrote: > jonathan > > that's a great question as I am running IMail on a W2K server and I do have > microsoft's SMTP service running.
