Dennis, Are you using both nics? I ran into the same problem on my Dell 2550. I resolved the problem by turning off one of the nic cards. I think there is an updated driver for the Broadcom nic's as well. I also remember that Ipswitch has a KB article about multi-homed systems. After reading that KB article I turned off one of the nics and I haven't had any problems.
