Thanks, I did pings and telnets and had no problems. I just can't understand why Imail is not able to send mail there.
But thanks for the HOSTS file pointer. -----Original Message----- From: Mark [Support] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, August 16, 2002 10:13 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] HELP! can't send mail to a domain and can'tfigure out why I can ping 209.223.133.9 and telnet to port 25 on that IP. Works fine. My temporary suggestion to get the email flowing, would be to hardcode that domain into the host file so IMail uses it. Add this line to the c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\host file: edmarshalljewelers.com 209.223.133.9 Then stop and restart the SMTP service. Then IMail will send the email to that address. That is a temp fix but gives to time to find a permanent one. As long as that works, that may even be your permanent fix.
