Hi all. I have a customer who is reporting this: "After further investigation this issue I have come to the conclusion that the problem is related to the way that Outlook forwards attachments or the way that imail receives forwarded e-mails with attachments. It appears that when sending an attachment directly, outlook sends the attachment in such a way that the receipient receives it as downloadable attachment whereby clicking on the attachment link it prompts for a choice to either open or save. When forwading a message with an attachment from Outlook, it appears that Outlook forwards the attachment in the body of the e-mail. When the mail is checked through the web interface, although it will show the attachment icon on the message header, once one clicks on the message, the actual file opens in the same page in the body of the e-mail. If this situation happened when sending an image file, one will probably will see the image since Internet Explorer has the capability of viewing such files, but since in this situation it is trying to open PDF files, what appears instead is an encoded message. If one tries to view the same forwarded e-mail with Outlook, one can see that the attachment icon is somewhere below the forwarded header information in the body of the e-mail, but instead it will display as a clickable icon."
Me thinks he needs to play with Plain Text vs Rich Text vs HTML settings in his Outlook. Any other ideas? Thanks!
