We have already received several inquiries regarding the Partial/fragmented
message vulnerability that was recently announced. In short, Outlook can
process E-mails sent in a rarely used "fragmented" format (one E-mail split
into more than one E-mail), which bypasses most SMTP-based virus scanners.

Our Declude Virus customers are protected against this if the FOOTER option
is used (which most, but not all, of our customers are using), although it
will not be detected as a vulnerability.

The next release of Declude Virus will be able to detect this as a
vulnerability (there is an interim release available now for anyone who
needs this protection immediately). The detection of this vulnerability
will default to ON, and is recommended for all of our customers.
