HINT HINT :))

from everywhere), as well

BINGO!!!!

O.k.: This is how I had the Control Access list set up: the Deny Access
Except Those Listed Below. And in the list I had the Public IP address of
the ISA. THE MOMENT I set that to Allow All, mail started coming thru!!!
WHY? Is this a BROKEN function?? Or is it sophistry on the part of IPSwitch
- deny all even those on the list??? Or am I so hopelessly lost I should
quit now???? AAARRRRGGG!!!!

>(make sure that funky IP the firewall gives to
>everybody isn't listed in the Control Access file).

Guess what?? It WAS on the list, of ALLOWED ACCESS!!! Yet, nothing was
getting in.

Let me throw a couple of lines from our log now that mail is coming thru
again and ask for your anaylysis:

I no longer have the ISA's internal IP on ANY list in the IMail admin
interface. Yet, there it is in the log: 172.20.207.185. Danger, Will
Robinson, does not compute....

Also, I tried to send myself a page from the web interface of the Miami
Dolphins' (go Fish! geez, I LOVE American Football!!!) link on the Miami
Herald's web site, and IMail refused to accept it. How come? Here are the
lines from log:

20020921 234430 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (07A20022) [172.20.207.185]
unacceptable mail address in MAIL
FROM:<@dispatches.RealCities.com:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
20020921 234455 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (07A30022) [172.20.200.116] connect
172.20.200.116 port 4626

That's a legit "from" address that I have.

Thanks,

Vctor
