Yes, it definitely would:

The "501 bogus mail from" is returned by IMail if it receives bounce 
messages or Delivery Status Notifications, and you have the "Refuse NULL <> 
Senders" box checked.  IMail still hasn't put the "WARNING: This will make 
your server non-RFC-compliant and will prevent you from receiving bounce 
messages and DSNs" warning in IMail Administrator yet.
