I am curious if anyone is running Outlook 2002 as a client against iMail
7.13, and if so, if the LDAP functionality works properly.

Our current Mail Server's LDAP (Captaris Interchange) worked fine on Outlook
releases pre-2002 (Office XP). Seems that the Outlook 2002 Client has
major issues with many non MS LDAP services, including Lotus / Dominio
Notes.

It would appear that Microsoft changed the Games in Outlook 2002, in an
attempt to lock folks into using their MS Exchange server. They killed the
#NETFOLDERS# features that allowed people to share a calendar without an
exchange server, and attempted to implement their Win2k's propriatary LDAP
Implementation via MAPI to work better with their Active Directory
structures.

Guess I shouldn't complain, after all they added lotsa neat features like
HOTMAIL and passport support in Outlook 2002! <g>

But I've figured out why Microsoft calls their mail server "Exchange", once
you own it, you'll want to EXCHANGE it! :-)
