We aren't. We simply have MS SQL running on the SAME box. We DO use the iMail database. Why are you running MSSQL instead of the IMail native database (I harp on this particularly when someone is running them on the same machine)?
Since my post I discovered that we were actually running iMail 7.06 rather than the 7.07 I thought was loaded. Updated and applied the 7.07 hotfix 2.
Since the update I am not seeing the "may be forged" messages and all the entries I have checked either have the correct IP address for the domain or have only the domain listed in the handshaking. Now sure if this was something rectified in the update or not.
There were two other things, either one of which may have contributed to this problem.
1. I discovered an error in the domain name server entries for the DNS record of the client having the problem. Both the SOA and NS entries were incorrect. But only on this one domain of course.
2. The domain where mail was failing had instituted a new spam filter (didn't learn which) and they suggested this might have been the culprit. Whatever it was it is now behind us.
