I've set the SMTP security to "Relay for Addresses" and I've double and
triple checked it. I've tried to relay mail from outside Ip and it
doesn't work. I'M REALLY PUZZLED and I hope this problem won't happen
again :(

Can I please ask you guys to try using my Imail server for relay to se
whether there is a bug with IMAIL. The server is hirogen.upnaway.com or
IP = 202.71.162.12

I'm really paranoid now......Anyway more solutions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
Bo Wee

It's time to open "openrelay.txt" again:

IMail's SMTP Security options have a number of relaying choices. Of
them,
only 2 can be used safely (the rest cause you to be an open relay). The

two safe options are "Relay for Addresses" and "No Mail Relay".

If you use IMail's "Relay for addresses", you would enter a list of
"safe"
IP addresses that your users may come from; anyone not coming from those

safe IPs would need to use SMTP AUTH. If you use "No mail relay",
everyone
must use SMTP AUTH to relay mail. Note that relay settings apply only
to
outgoing E-mail, so no matter what your settings are, your users will
still
be able to get mail.

So to reiterate:  "Relay for Addresses" or "No Mail Relay" are safe;
everything else will get you listed in a number of spam databases.

In this case, either [1] You are not using one of the correct settings,
and
are an open relay, [2] You have an incorrect IP range that you are
allowing
access to, or [3] (very unlikely in your case) The spammer knows the
password of one of your accounts.
