Sorry to come in late on this thread (I was in Digest mode for a while) and
I am also hesitant to give a workaround that I'm sure others may be using to
bypass the intermittent problems related to using
http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html and its associated Perl
script. The reason that I am hesitant is that my suggestion bypasses the
double opt-in/out mechanism that usually works with the Web form mentioned
above. But I now use it regularly since I often change my subscription mode
from Digest to Standard and vice versa and never experienced any problems,
including the unsubscribing.
Send an e-mail to directly to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No subject line.
In the body of your message, type one of the following:
subscribe IMail_Forum <First_Name> <Last_Name>
unsubscribe IMail_Forum
set mode standard IMail_Forum
set mode digest IMail_Forum
One important caveat: If you are currently subscribed in Digest mode and
wish to unsubscribe, you must first change your mode to Standard (set mode
standard IMail_Forum). Then, after having received a confirmation e-mail
from Ipswitch that your mode was successfully changed to Standard, send
another e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (unsubscribe IMail_Forum).
This works for other Ipswitch discussion lists as well.
