Thanks for the info on multiple servers and DSN's. I guess this is just one
more reason to have another front end server ahead of Imail. I assume that
something like IMgate would work for this as well as filling several other
purposes?
IMGate (postfix) doesn't support DSN.

Apart from that, IMGate really upgrades any IMail system in so ways that most Imail admins can't imagine.

Today's problems about SMTP AUTH are obviated by using POP-before-SMTP on IMGate with NO changes to the users' mail client settings, and no traffic through Imail.

Also, roamers can submit their outbound mail to the RFC "submission" port 587 and avoid being blocked at port 25 when sending out through their access providers SMTP gateways.

and IMGate can enforce max msg size, offloading that from IMail.
