IMail will always support SMTP AUTH, so you can set it on the clients
at any time (in essence, you've already migrated the server). If you
use 'Relay for Addresses,' this implicitly includes 'Relay for AUTHed
Sessions.'

If there are clients who will continue to be in an allowed IP range
using 'Relay for Addresses,' they will continue to be allowed to relay
as soon as they connect. They could also send AUTH creds if they want,
but they won't need to.

There are some recent threads about precisely this migration that
you'll want to look at.

If you're NOT using 'Relay for Addresses' now, you will have
additional issues that will complicate matters. You will also most
certainly have issues if your users' new ISPs block them from using
SMTP except for their ISP's gateway (in this case, you'll have to put
something up on port 26 that can do AUTH--could be that IMail moves to
26 and MS SMTP goes to 25, or suchlike).

Post back with your additional questions.
