Thawte is OK in my opinion and I wouldn't see any value in Verisign over
Thawte for the price difference.   However the cert market is still
overpriced for what's being provided.    If all you want is to provide SSL,
GeoTrust at http://www.geotrust.com or a Tucows/OpenSRS reseller provides
the most cost effective solution.   The only thing it doesn't do is give the
.00001% of customers who examine your certificate a business name and
location.   They are already included in most browser certificate authority
lists.
