Have to go with Len on this one.

1. smtp gateways (more than one is suggested)
2. dedicated AV box (more than one is good)
3. mailbox server (more than one is possible)

I wouldn't use IMail for #1 or #2 sorry IMail guys, but, IMail doesn't
come close to touching postfix in the MTA world (probably not even
sendmail).

IMail on #3 is a possibility for sure.  Especially if you want a win32
environment.  If you are not required to be in a win32 environment
then obviously there are other choices (courier, cyrus, etc etc),
however, from a management and support standpoint perhaps they are not
right for you.

IMail is probably one of the best win32 mail server products around.
