I'm just trying to send mail to a user [EMAIL PROTECTED] , just as
if I was trying to send to [EMAIL PROTECTED], or [EMAIL PROTECTED] I've never
had to set up any permissions to send e-mail to any other domain, why
would something be wrong with my perms trying to send just this one
domain? When I do an nslookup on the IMAIL server for an MX record for
the domain I do get a response:

> set querytype=mx
> move-to-nyack.com
Server: oc02lcns01.services.myrient.net
Address: 64.63.161.12
Non-authoritative answer:
move-to-nyack.com MX preference = 2, mail exchanger =
mx2.cisdata.net move-to-nyack.com MX preference = 1, mail
exchanger = mx1.cisdata.net
move-to-nyack.com nameserver = ns.cisdata.net
move-to-nyack.com nameserver = ns2.cisdata.net
ns.cisdata.net internet address = 207.159.17.20
ns2.cisdata.net internet address = 65.213.42.196

Shouldn't this allow me to send mail to this domain?

yes, I showed you it worked for me telnetting to 65.213.42.221.

remove your entries in your hosts file, and send a msg from your Imail to that address, and show us the Imail "SMTP-" log lines for the attempted send.
