we have IMail 7.13 running and 2 real domains and many virtual domains. One of the 2 real domains stopped sending mails and always return a mail with subject "Undeliverable mail". the domain name is 07770500.com, I tried to send from <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED] to <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED] so, I received this message:
Delivery failed 20 attempts: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Although it could just be a yahoo.com issue, I'm guessing a DNS or firewall issue:
03:17 16:18 SMTP-(0000107C) Trying yahoo.com (0)
03:17 16:19 SMTP-(0000107C) MX connect fail "64.157.4.82"
03:17 16:19 SMTP-(0000107C) MX connect fail "64.156.215.5"
03:17 16:19 SMTP-(0000107C) MX connect fail "66.218.86.253"
03:17 16:19 SMTP-(0000107C) requeuing D:\IMail\spool\Qd9395dc8012c0ecf.SMD R0 T1
03:17 16:19 SMTP-(0000107C) finished D:\IMail\spool\Qd9395dc8012c0ecf.SMD status=3
Here, IMail got the correct DNS response, and tried connecting to each one of the MX records, but couldn't connect to any.
I'm guessing that your firewall is allowing outgoing SMTP transactions from one of the two IP addresses on the server, but not the other.
