I find that the best lists are those where folks actually answer the
question - even simple ones that are in the manual - and if possible even post a
link to the appropriate part of the manual for additional
reading.
The reason, I think, is that it's faster, and more encouraging, and in
the end forces the question and answer to the most common issues to appear
more readily and in more variations in more search engines.
Folks sure can learn a lot when that happens - especially if they don't
know what they don't know - and therefore also don't know where in the manual
the answer to their unknown question might reside.
Of course those that are very, very busy won't have time for this (and
that's ok if they don't have time to help)... but I wonder sometimes how folks
with no time still manage to respond with "helpful" OT comments like
RTFM.
