They are configuration settings for how to deal with them.  BY default 2000, will not send them but 20002 will.  If you search the MS knowledge base you will find your answer.  This is a Microsoft issue, nit Ipswitch.

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMail and Reading Confirmations

Hello

I've a client that works with MS Outlook 2000 and windows 98. When he receive a message that requires reading confirmation, the message of confirmation remains in the exit tray, and it doesn't exit. Do you know the reason of this fact?
I've proved with Outlook Express and it doesn't happen (it functions correctly).
When I upgrade the MS Outllok to 2002, it works ok too, but i can't tell him that upgrades to office 2002 (because he doesn't want pay money).
Which are your advices with respect to this subject?

Thank you
