Yes, Im aware of the approx. value because of base 64 encoding, adding about 33% overhead
still makes a 3 mb file increase to about 4 mb. While my Max Single Message still is set to 6mb.

If your attachment is a binary file, the file will be encoded by your mail client so it can be sent through SMTP. This encoding can make the actual message much larger than the original attachment size.

Server config: Windows 2k, SP2, Imail7.07, Declude JunkMail, Pentium 3, 866mhz , 512 mb
I have set Max Single Message Size to 6mb on one of our domains, reboot the server . I have confirmed the changes in the registry settings.
Test: The maximun size that I can still send is a maximun size of is about 3mb attachments. The server returns a " 552 Message size exceeds fixed max message size." on any size larger
Any help appreciated. Jolin
