You are lucky that's all it did ... I did the same thing and the ****er upon
reboot blue screened with an NT kernal error .. never to be recovered .. I
have to reinstall and Restore the data from backup ... I added many new
colorful phrases to the Webster's dictionary of bad words that day.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: DO NOT INSTALL NEW MS PATCH IF YOU ARE
RUNNING WINDOWS NT 4 AND REMOTE ACCESS

Ahhhhh....

Once again I have learned the hard way and should have my head examined for
trusting M$ too much. I installed HotFix 823803 along with a few others
tonight on all of my servers.

On the older Windows NT Servers running Remote Access, after installing
823803 and rebooting I got some none descriptive error messages. I started
removing patches one at a time until I found the culprit. But because it's
NT (a piece of doodoo) you have to reinstall the Service Pack 6a and all
HotFixes again (minus 823803) to get Remote Access to work again.

Just thought I'd let ya know....maybe save you some agony.
