I am running 8.01 and have the HTML filters on and etc. I noticed today
that I received a few emails that had one of the words on it that I am
filtering out. Any idea why it misses these emails?

My guess is that the E-mail was base64 encoded. Unless the filtering that you use supports base64 decoding, it won't get caught.
