Quick question(s) everyone. Is anyone using Xcompress or similar compression technology? and is it helping transmission of data? I would think perhaps on the Declude side you could speed up by sending compressed data to the client.
I noticed the dial up isp's are adapting "SlipStream" technology which is basically TurboSquid (linux caching solution) with an app that lowers image quality based on user input. They also compress the data. My dial up access to my mail server is about on par with the frac T-1 in the office using that technology. So when I hit my iMail server, it is slightly faster serving up buttons and the images sometimes come up broken. --------====tSc====-------- Timothy Hunold TestShoot.com MissBeverlyHills.com FilmSupplies.com ItsSoBig.com ICQ#: 21478689 Yahoo/AIM: TestShootCom --------====tSc====-------- ________________________________________________________________ Sent via the iLive.com Webmail system at iLive.com Get your FREE Webmail at http://www.iLive.com To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
