Hi Sandy, seem like a good idea..

But how exactly this thing works ??
can I use the DNS service that came with win2k ??

A standar dns responds with an IP when you send it a name
but in this case I understand that IMail will send an IP
and the DNS have to respond with what ??

Im not sure how to make this work..

For the details on how to create your own DNS-based spam database, you can go to http://www.declude.com/junkmail/support/ip4rinfo.htm .

Essentially, you need a zone (such as "blacklist.example.com"), and then add IPs to it in a reversed format, so that if you want to blacklist the IP 127.0.0.2, you would add an entry "2.0.0.127.blacklist.example.com. A 127.0.0.2". So you might have:

        2.0.0.127.blacklist.example.com. A 127.0.0.2
        25.2.0.192.blacklist.example.com. A 127.0.0.2
        26.2.0.192.blacklist.example.com. A 127.0.0.2
        ...

But, before you create your own spam database, you may want to get out of others! You're in DSBL.
