Hello- I'm new to the list and have a most irritating problem. Suddenly, the IMAP service refuses to authenticate users. This was not a problem yesterday, everything worked fine on the default install. I updated win2k3 last night, rebooted and poof, no more IMAP. I get the following error when connecting (no change from yesterday) via Outlook:
LOGIN: Invalid userid/password Configuration: Account: Anthill Server: mail.aardvarksint.com User name: test Protocol: IMAP Port: 143 Secure(SSL): 0 Code: 800cccd1 Manually connecting via telneting to port 143 yields similar results: NO LOGIN: Invalid userid/password Whats strange is that web mail works just fine. I've tried multiple databases for users/passwords, stopped/restarted the service countless times, reinstalled over the top of IMail in the hopes that these would fix it. I've scoured the kb and internet and found nothing like this. Does anyone have any suggestions??? I'm completely at a loss and about to reload the whole program from scratch. I'm hoping that isnt necessary, as I'd like to commit to the switch from Linux to Windows.
