Were use IMAP protocol as the way to connect to our IMAIL server and use Microsoft Outlook as the client now our users were use to haveing there deleated mail go to a deleated folder incase they wanted to call those old emails back. and since moving away from exchange and over to IMAIL and useing IMAP that option isn't there any more . So is there way to do a custom configure rule to say if mail is marked for deleation move to a specfic folder?

Moving deleted messages to anohter folder is a client-side function. Why microsoft programmed this behavior for POP but not IMAP is beyond me, but there it is. FWIW, the messages you delete in OE didn't really go away; click on the 'view' menu, and select 'current view' to see what I mean. Only when you do a PURGE are the messages actually removed from the mailbox.

We use IMAP here. I've been replacing IE/OE with Mozilla 1.4 through attrition, because the Mozilla/Netscape mail client still uses the "move deleted messages to the trash folder' model. I also like other features, such as per-folder threading, and defaulting to fixed-width fonts for plain text better. Some of my users complain about liking IE better. At home, I've been playing with a combination of IE and Thunderbird. Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/) is e-mail only project from mozilla. So far, I've been impressed, and the combination of IE and thunderbird is working pretty well.
