As you did not include the actual X-IMAIL-SPAM info from the header or the
Spam Log entry, the info you have posted does not identify why your email is
being caught.

Be aware White List only works on content in the body of the email and not
with other types of Spam identification. For example, if the The Spam Log
or Full Header should identify why it is getting snagged.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Content whitelisting by domain.

Hello All,

IMail 8.01: I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to use Content Filtering White
List with domains.

For example, I've added 'ebay.com' (without quotes) to my list of White
List content filter domains, but e-mail from 'ebay.com' is still being
identified as spam by IMail's Content Phrase filter.

Should I be using '*.ebay.com' or '@ebay.com' in the domain white list?

The header of mail that is being identified as spam reads:

Received: from mx6.sjc.ebay.com [66.135.197.9] by
mail.opposablethumb.com
with ESMTP (SMTPD32-8.01) id AA604001B8; Wed, 10 Sep 2003 11:07:44 -0600
Received: from zaxxon.sjc.ebay.com (zaxxon.sjc.ebay.com [10.6.172.87])
by mx6.sjc.ebay.com (8.12.3/8.12.3) with SMTP id h8AH4hU9029606
for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Wed, 10 Sep 2003 10:04:43 -0700

and further, the 'from' e-mail address is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Any ideas how I should format the content white list for 'ebay.com'?

I realize that I could add the ebay.com IPs as trusted, but I'm trying
to find a way that more clearly identifies what we're white listing (by
domain provides us with information about why we're white listing
something).

I also realize that by white listing a domain I potentially expose us to
'from' address spoofing that will allow all e-mail from 'ebay.com' to
pass anti-spam tests through.

And, I've stopped and re-started all services...

Thanks in advance,
Daniel
