I bet you will see many tcp ports in a wait_close state, if you do the
problem is your imonitor settings. We had this problem a while back it
seemed to happen to us about every 3.5 days.

Stop imonitor from monitoring the www service. Stop and restart imonitor,
smtp, and queue manager.
