Hi all, Until recently, I've not paid much attention to the contents of either my Spool or the Queue. I've observed recently that while the spool might have 2400 files, when I view the Queue from Imail Administrator, I might only see 160 files. Does that sound right? Also, there seem to be a disproportionate d*.txt and t*.txt files. I thought that I understood that d*.txt files were deleted when the message was delivered yet there are way too many of them hanging out--not enough messages to match them up with. Lastly, despite that fact that I somewhat regularly run isplcln to delete msgs older than 3 days old, I hade some files from July in the spool. Truly lastly (I think) I can see why some msgs take multiple tries--they are undeliverable. But why should a message that is correctly addressed get "stuck." The examples I'm thinking of were messages with attachments--total message size with all attachments was 1-1.5mb (comprised of 30 second radio spots in the form of mp3's)
The inspiration for this recent interest is cpu usage. About 2 months ago there was a dramatic rise in our cpu usage. It now stays at 100% for long periods. I'm running Imail 8.02 with Declude on W2k sp 4. As always, any assistance would be appreciated.
