Well originally I was thinking of a way to alter the connect sequence when these particular ip addresses would attempt an initial connection. My thought was to just try and sink the link, so to speak, but then I realized that some auto-spammers just dump and go. Actually this might make an SMTP server less responsive, or even a self induced a dDoS...
