we
have Imail marking X-IMAIL-SPAM headers on e-mail. We have some rules
setup to bounce based on certain tests. Others we pass thru and allow
users to move the messages in outlook via rules - the VALHELO is one of those we
dont automatically block.
One of
these tests X-IMAIL-SPAM-VALHELO seems to fail sometime and not others.
This failure happens both with mail sent within this IMAIL server, and from
some users outside this system - but in both cases they seem to work
sometimes and not others. I'd like to debug this behavior, but am
unfamiliar with what the HELO test actually does. Any resources that would
help like what to look for in DNS and/or how to verify it with a telnet session
would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
