Had something very odd occur:

Client has an automated process that sends out about 500 messages with
inventory files over a period of about an hour in the early morning.

Today, he is reporting 3 of them were reported undeliverable.

Checking the log, I found something odd. Imail started to process deliver
the message, but never tries to connect to the recipient server, and then
creates a postmaster message.

12-12-2003 01:23:41 SMTP (04C000AA) processing
F:\Spool\Q84f801f001e66a28.SMD
12-12-2003 01:24:48 SMTP (04C000AA) Creating message from
Postmaster
12-12-2003 01:24:48 SMTP (04C000AA) finished
F:\Spool\Q84f801f001e66a28.SMD status=2

Those are the only lines in the log for that message. It is just over one
minute between when Imail first starts to process and then create the
postmaster message. There are 243 log lines between the first 2 lines. Not
one of them has to do with that message.

Checking the recipient domain, it is fine. About 30 minutes later, a message
was sent to a different address at that domain fine. Using the Declude
e-mail tester, the recipient address shows fine.

Any one seen this or know what the cause is?
