Get them to use SMTP authentication or add their IP addresses to allowable addreses.

PLEASE SEACH THE ARCHIVES AND READ POSTS!

RELAY FOR LOCAL USERS = OPEN RELAY!

People, get this through your heads.

The only 2 acceptable relay settings are NO RELAY and RELAY FOR ADDRESSES!

Subject: [IMail Forum] FW: root@ causing us to be on ORDB

Hi peeps,

Recently whilst going through the logs, I got some messages as to our IP being on ORDB. Upon investigation I found that it was, in fact, all my IPs were listed there, o when I looked at the email(test) sample that caused the failure, I saw it was being send spoofed as root @domain.com.

I have my SMTP security set to relay for local users only and always thought this was my best option. I switched to No mail Relay, and started getting users having problems sending mail (one particular domain has over 500 users).

I set it back while I investigate further. I was able to retest all my IPs & get them removed from the list, since I had no mail relay selected for a few hours whilst testing.

Any tips? I’m lost here.

PS I run a collocated server, utilizing Imail 7.15, hosting approx 50 domains ATM
