Just out of curiosity, what are the security issues w. 3Com cards.
They refuse to give any details, which makes the problem much worse in my mind. I'm guessing it has something to do with their firewalls. Specifically, they have servers giving out information that they do not want hackers to have, yet they cannot or will not block access to those servers. The information is so sensitive, however, that they are willing to deny access to security tools that their own employees use, and make their domain look bad, in order to work around the problem.
