I thought I was being smart by separating the IMAIL main programs from the email data. When I initially installed IMail, I set the directory IMAIL to hold all of the main files and IMAIL_DATA to hold my domain emails etc.

After I have run a few patches, I now see that there are programs in BOTH the IMAIL and IMAIL_DATA.

WHat makes this worse is that when looking in the services panel, I see that the main IMAIL services are running in the IMAIL_DATA directory. So I figured I no longer needed the IMAIL directory as everything appears to be running in IMAIL_DATA. I simply rename IMAIL to OLD_IMAIL and BAM, web messaging and other things no longer work. So this tells me IMAIL has intertwined the executables and settings between the two directories making it next to impossible to track which is the current version.

I would have thought that the patches and hot fixes would have either prompted me for the correct location and read some settings. Apparently NOT!

Can someone point me in the direction to get the IMAIL executables and settings files in IMAIL so I can only Have he domain users/email data in the IMAIL_DATA directory?

Thanks,

Jeff
