This has been covered before but I think I have a new spin on the situation.
The issue I am having is attachments in web messaging are opening as garbled
text in the browser rather than with the correct application. My first
thought was what was suggested previously, perhaps it's a browser problem or
hotfix that messed things up.

I did some testing and have found that the problem only exists (at least in
my case) when the attachment was sent from Outlook 2003. Testing with OE
and Outlook XP the same attachment works fine in web messaging. I tried
word docs and excel spreadsheets and pdfs, all with the same results.

Here is a test account I setup if you want to test it out.

There are 2 messages in the mailbox with the exact same attachment, one sent
from Outlook 2003 and the other from Outlook XP. Notice web messaging
doesn't even recognize that the 2003 one even has an attachment on the menu
page.

I'm running Imail 8.05 HF1 on Win 2003 Std.
Browser is IE 6 with all patches
OS is XP SP1 with all patches

Any thoughts or suggestion would be greatly appreciated! And yes...I know
dumping OL2003 will be a primary suggestion. :) This may just halt our
rollout of Office 2003 if we can't figure something out.
