The user's mail box is unlimited. 
This particular user's mail box is 9000000 or more at any time, with at
least 1000 messages each day.

Make the user log out completely.  Delete the users .srt and .uid file
for
all mailboxes that are wacked *NOT THE .MBX FILE*.  Have the user login
in
again with Outlook or whatever to re-index and re-sort those messages.
It
will take a bit the first time, but it will be okay after that.  The
cause
of the problem could be for two reasons.  One, they are logged in at
more
then one place (left the machine on at home with Outlook open and now
they
are at work with Outlook open,  or they have the check for new messages
set
to a number way to low - they need to open the interval up a little bit,
OR
they have a very slow connection.  Recreating the .uid and .srt file
should
help if either of those files are corrupt.  How big are the users
mailboxes?
