Guys and Gals, Here is the
scenario; I have roughly 2500 computers, 40 Servers, and all in 25 different
locations. All machines are running mixed windows operating systems and all
have different versions of Internet Explorer. I have a staff of 3 and they are
as always a week behind, so having them make rounds
and install these patches are out. What I need is a script that will check OS
and install the correct patches at logon, also it will need to check IE and
install the correct patches. If anyone has this I would be greatly indebted to
you. After the last Blaster fiasco we started working on installing the Microsoft
SUS throughout the network on all the main servers at the remote locations only
to find that we needed to install larger drives in the servers. So we have made
provisions to do this, however it will not happen this quick. I would also like
any (restricted budget) suggestions on how to make managing this system a
little easier. I thank you in advance for any suggestions or help. Also is
there a way that I can prevent this from affecting our system such as a port to
block or a workaround. Allen |
