Thanks for the response. On the DSL is that a monthly recurring charge or a one time
charge?

Thanks again.

I've never had a isp charge for an ip block ... I have seen them come back
and take ips that you can't show being used and reduce your subnet. I agree
that many isp's only give customers 8 ip's even with a t1 unless you (the
customer) requests and can show usage for more ... and I think that's fair
since most customers don't need but 4 to 6 ip's anyway. For customers on
DSL (I have a few remote locations that use DSL) those isp's charge between
$2.00 and $5.00 per ip when you need more than 2 public ip's, even though
it's business class DSL.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT-IP Addresses

I apologize for the OT post but I'm trying to get an idea of what folks are
paying for IP blocks from their ISPs. I work for an ISP that up until now
has not charged it's customers for IP blocks regardless of size. Now that
we're a much bigger company this is no longer practical, so I'm trying to
determine a *fair* pricing structure. From what I've seen most ISPs are
bundling small blocks with their T1s and charging for larger blocks. Any
input would be appreciated. Thanks.
