I was curious, so I just checked to see how Declude JunkMail handled these. I looked the first 20 that I found (which were all caught here), and their average weight was over 40, with the lowest two being 20 and 28. We recommend that our customers block E-mail that has a weight of 20 or higher (or 10 or higher for people who want very strict anti-spam settings). So all of these would have been caught, most of them very easily.
Actually, these would have a higher weight now (the ones I looked at were from about 2 months ago), with the introduction of a new test to Declude JunkMail that is able to detect certain types of spamware. This new test caught all the "g9 .gif" spams (as well as about 67% of other spam), while having an extremely low 0.0004 false positive ratio. Those few legitimate E-mails that did get caught (all apparently using custom mailservers) all ended up with a weight lower than 20, so they were not caught.
So these g9's actually aren't too hard to catch with good tools.
