Bagle.J, one of the new viruses, spreads in both encrypted .ZIP files and other file types (such as .PIF files, like a normal virus). No mailserver AV program can detect Bagle.J in an encrypted .ZIP file. All mailserver AV programs can catch it in other file types (such as .PIF).
Some mailserver AV programs are able to block all encrypted .ZIP files (such as the latest interim of Declude Virus with "BANEXT EZIP", and reportedly NAVIEG (Symantec gateway) as well). We recommend that everyone do this, and block all encrypted .ZIP files.
