Oh I don't mean to strip out the attachments on all my lists, just a select few.
We have some lists that go out to folks out on research ships, and pulling down a healthy batch of virus definitions is quite expensive via satellite linkups at sea, so it doesn't get done all that often. They usually end up waiting until they're ashore and hooked up to a landline. So we would like to lock down those lists so that unwanted emails and attachments (especially malicious ones) don't make their way into the que and cost big bucks to pull down. > > > Hopefully the folks at IPswitch are working on an option to ban ALL > > attachments. > > Which would mean legitimate email lost out to the virus writers, even if > you never got another virus.
