I am having a problem that one of our users is increasingly communicating with clients and friends in Spanish. The IMail AntiSpam filters are triggering on these "new" words and flagging them as spam which raises the score and flags the message.
Anybody know of a fix for this? A Spanish language dictionary for IMail?
That's just how Bayesian filtering works. You're expected to "prime" it with representative legitimate E-mails and spam. If you do not do so, it will not work properly.
What you should be doing is training the Bayesian spam filter for that user, based on their legitimate E-mail and spams.
Note that you can't simply use a Spanish language dictionary, as that would not have information on which words are spammy and which are not (nor can you simply translate to an English word and do that, as many words have multiple meanings).
