What is the advantage(s) of running both Declude AV and Clam AV?
One scans E-mail for viruses, the other doesn't.
ClamAV is like the standard retail versions of McAfee, Sophos, F-Prot, etc. that typically cost about $50 (whereas ClamAV is free). However, Declude Virus turns it into a fully functional mailserver virus scanner (that normally costs many $1,000s). Declude Virus takes care of decoding attachments, sending out notifications, looking for the many mailserver AV vulnerabilities, etc.
So ClamAV by itself could be set up to scan all the files on your hard drive -- but since it never sees the attachments in E-mails, it would never see the viruses.
