If anyone who claims to be in my domain (an existing user, or not) can send an email to anyone in my domain without being authenticated (by using my smtp server), then conceivably, a malicious stranger could spoof a message from the CEO of the company and send a message to the entire company that could have legal consequences.
How then, can email be used as a legal document. Would not this limit any attempts to take any legal action based on an email?
It seems any email sent from any user in my domain to anyone in my domain cannot be viewed as 100% authentic.
Any ideas?
Thx, D.
