Geez,  I  keep answering this...the registry is much, much faster. The
reasons to use SQL are manageability and integration, not performance.

"Performed  fine"  without  a  comparison  is not really statistically
sound, is it? RAID 1 (or 10, if possible) is much, much faster.

Neither  of  these  comments  should indicate that you will _need_ the
higher  performance;  the slower options are, as you know, functional.
Whether   to   rearchitect  or  not  is  determined  by  site-specific
utilization and user demands.
