I received the following from Ipswitch. Here are some highlights of IMail 8.1
- Anti-spam improvements. * Logs will use a single message ID in order to track a message as it passes through various tests and processes. Messages flagged as spam can now include this ID in the header. * Updated User interface to the Anti-spam option to make it easier to configure effectiveness. * Added subject modification - spam messages can now include a warning in the subject. * Can now use the same phrase list to search subject, body or both. * Can normalize words and remove non-alphabetic characters. (V.I.A.G.R.A) * Spam checks can now automatically be skipped for trusted relay IP addresses. * Trusted IP addresses, white lists by domain and white lists by email addresses are all in the same location and can apply to connection filtering and content filtering. - ACL support to IMAP4 - Added Open LDAP Support - Added Open SSL support - Added Log Analyzer (used to a free download) - Virus Scanning by Virtual Domain - Deleted Messages are not immediately removed, they are marked as removed and then the mailbox will be compressed when a threshold of wasted space is reached. - Moved "refuse NULL sender" to make it more difficult to enalbe since this is a violation of SMTP standards. - Adding Second Anti-Virus option using Softwin Bit Defender A month later, we will introduce an add-on called Insight Connector that will enable shared calendars/adressbooks for Outlook Users. (Thus the addition of ACL support to IMAP4). Please let me know if you have more questions.
