Is there anyway that we can restrict sending mail through telnet to port 25
in Imail.

Yes -- you can turn off SMTP. :)


Telneting to port 25 is no different than a mailserver or mail client connecting to IMail.

Using this opportunity lot of users are misbehaving, sending mails
pretending as different user.

That's because SMTP allows you to do that. Trying putting in your favorite E-mail address into your mail client, and you'll see that you, too, can send E-mail from that address.
